A few patterns in atomic
I think everyone know it, but it can be difficult to recognize it.Hi all! I think most of you know me as @Quasabianth, so I'll use games from it.
This is my first blog-post on this accout, so I can make some mistakes.
I want to show you a few examples of basic opening patterns in atomic that can improve your level.
1. We'll start with most popular mistake in my main opening (1. Nf3 f6 2. d4). It's a pretty simple fork (mainly on d8 and on g7), but many people don't notice it. As you can see, black king don't have any safe moves.
2. Next I want to show very useful trick that help me to win a lot of games. I think everyone know it, but it can be difficult to recognize it.
3. Queen double attack, when opponent has weak g3 (g6) square.
4. Very useful bishop sacrifice on h6 to open g5 mainly for knight.
5. Same sacrifice on a6 (after ... 0-0-0) to open b5.
6. Bishop pin on e1-a5 diagonal that "open" d3 for our pieces.
7. A bit unusual, but very funny knight fork.
8. A weak diagonal (h5-d8) for bishop.
9. Nice sacrifice of a piece for a pawn h5 to destroy king's castle.
Of course these are not all possible opening patterns, so I may make a second part.
Thank you for watching!
